Violence & Gore
-
- There are some scary looking dinosaurs, and a couple of people do die: one is instantaneously turned into a skeleton and fossilized on a cave wall, and the other turns into green slime. The weapons used are primarily flame-throwers, and while one creature (a humanoid with a lizard head) catches fire, he's not harmed.
- A small dinosaur -- supposed to be the equivalent of a dog -- gnaws on a woman's foot, and she promptly stabs him; both seem uninjured.
- A man is changed into a chimpanzee.
- Gore is mainly of the disgusting and slimy variety.
- There are various threats of violence.
Profanity
-
- 2 misuses of "hell." Both are near the beginning of the movie.
Alcohol, Drugs & Smoking
-
- One minor character is seen with a cigarette in her hand most of the time she is on-screen.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
-
- The entirety of the de-evolution scene.
- Goombas in this movie look creepy
- Koopa's kingdom is a dark and derelict dystopia.
- There is a police car chase where Mario and Luigi drive the police car out of town while being chased and attacked by other policeman.
Spoilers
Sex & Nudity
- Lots of cleavage and one kiss. A baby is hatched out of a giant egg, nude, but no gentials are shown on camera. There are some sexual references.
Frightening & Intense Scenes
- When Mario and Luigi shoot at Koopa with the Devolver Gun, he devolved into a large, mutated carnivorous beast temporarily before transforming back to a Tyrannosaurus Rex and ending as primordial slime.
