Plays Oliver Larding in "Theatre of Blood" play by Lee Simpson and Phelim McDermott, based on the MGM-Sam Jaffe-Harbor Prods. film (idea by Stanley Mann and John Kohn, screenplay by Anthony Greville-Bell) (National Theatre, London, England, UK).
His trademark small eyes are the result of BPES syndrome, a genetic condition, causing a narrowing of the eye opening, droopy eyelids, an upward fold of the skin of the lower eyelid near the inner corner of the eye, and an increased distance between the inner corners of the eyes. This causes the eyelids to be unable to open fully, and limits vision.
